STOM AWARDS

     There are a variety of awards that are available from the Science Teachers of Missouri to reward teachers and students alike for excellence in the sciences.

Beta Chi Pi - an awards program for students in Missouri schools who have achieved excellence in science classes, both academic and participatory.
Elementary Division
      Student Records - Elementary Level
Junior Division
      Student Records- Middle School/Junior High Level

Senior Division
      Student Records - High School Level
Outstanding Science Teacher - this award honors members who display excellence in classroom teaching. The award is presented annually to an elementary teacher, a middle school teacher, and a high school teacher. Teachers considered for this award are nominated by the membership. Nomination materials are available below.

Distinguished Service Awards – this award honors those who have made significant contributions to science education and/or to the Science Teachers of Missouri. Members are encouraged to contact their Area Director to submit names for consideration by the Awards Committee. (Membership is not a requirement to be considered for this award.)

Missouri Science Educator – STOM’s top honor, it recognizes members who have made significant contributions to science education not only in their schools, but have contributed their expertise to science education on state and national levels. Nominees are selected by the Awards Committee.
